Since 2002 Conemasters Limited has been contracted to provide traffic management for all of the major events held in Silverstone. Our involvement and knowledge of the area has meant that we have been able to secure a long term contract with Silverstone for all of their events.
After each year we review our progress and value engineer our operations to make the Traffic Management more effective to cost and Health and safety. Some of the major events we contract for are as shown below.
Santander British Formula One
The British Santander F1 Grand Prix is undoubtedly the largest event that takes place in the UK each year. Because of this a huge amount of planning and preparation is required. In order to manage the traffic effectively and efficiently Conemasters Limited works closely with Silverstone and the Northamptonshire Police. For this event we use a range of Traffic Management operations, this includes temporary traffic lights, one way systems which change in accordance to inbound and outbound phases, lane and carriageway closures and signed diversion routes.
Hertz MotoGP™
The Hertz MotoGP™ is also one of the largest motor cycle events that takes place in the UK each year. This event, like the F1 requires a lot of planning. Because of the large scale of this event we use a lot of the Traffic Management operations used for the F1, including temporary traffic lights, one way systems which change in accordance to inbound and outbound phases, lane closures and diversion routes.
